ARTIC CHARACTER DESIGNS

These are some character designs that I made for a 2D project set in the North Pole

 

ROTZBUB, MY FIRST FEATURE FILM AS DIRECTOR

 

I have been directing the film "Rotzbub" for three years, which is the first animated feature film completely made in Austria. Besides the director, I developed tasks as storyboard artist, animation supervisor and animator.  The film brings to life the characters of the austrian cartoonist Manfred Deix; he was the art director, and his work our main reference for the visual design. The story is inspired by Manfred Deix´s own youth, and it is set in a small alpine austrian town in the sixties; actually, it is not just a coming of age story about love and growing up, it is also a mirror of the Austrian society of the time, 20 years after the II World War.

And here another wedding card that i illustrated for my dear friend Sara Logan Hofstein. It was very inspired on Anthony Holden´s art.

This is the card that I designed for the First Communion of my son Jaime.

I could compile finally some of samples of my work in the last projects I contributed. It's not spectacular, but I really enjoyed working in all of them.

RUTH´S FIRST COMMUNION CARD

This is the card that I designed for the First Communion of my daugther Ruth. In the printed version there is a quote from Jesus saying "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never hunger, and whoever believes in Me will never thirst."

TOM HANK´S "A HOLOGRAM FOR THE KING"

This is the unedited opening sequence tha the austrian studio "Neuer österreicher Trickfilm" created for the feature film "A Hologram For The King“ directed by Tom Tykwerand and starring Tom Hanks. I had the pleasure of animating some shots for this nice piece
